AI is ubiquitous in society and many people are using neuroreality technologies to improve their daily lives. However, life on Earth is far from perfect, and conflict and instability continue to plague some regions. In Egypt, a group of militants discovers an ancient tomb sealed since the time of Cleopatra VII. The tomb is guarded by a group of loyal followers who have sworn to keep its location a secret. Inside the tomb lies an Egyptian god, unknown to historians, a living creature, who is called to wake up at a certain time. The militants, who are seeking to exploit the resources and knowledge contained within Egypt, somehow manage to find out about the tomb's existence. The faithful servant, the eye of the god and the only one who knows his purpose, decides to wake him up in order to prevent irreparable harm. She unseals the tomb and activates the wake-up protocol. However, the energy reserves prove to be small, and as it is activated, the process becomes unstable and uncontrollable. Thrown out of time, both she and her lord land with a crash two years later in the middle of a bustling metropolis....
