Hello! I am Cicada, otherwise known as CicadaNGB wherever I need a unique username. I'm the developer of Not Going Back, a college-themed, story-driven adult visual novel. (if you're somehow here without knowing what Not Going Back is all about, further information about the game itself and its content can be found on its itch.io page: https://cicadangb.itch.io/notgoingback ) Not Going Back is a visual novel made in Ren'Py using images created in Daz Studio. I first discovered this style of visual novels around 2021, and at the end of that year I conceptualized this project. After around 6 months of working my original ideas into a story that I am exceptionally passionate about, I began producing the visuals and really starting work on the first chapter. About a year later, I released Chapter 1: Sunrise, and was pleasantly surprised by the general response. Just over a year later, Chapter 2: The Worst Guys was released, and the response to that update was even greater and more positive that I could have hoped for. Chapter 3: Have Some Love brings the total render count through 3 chapters to over 8000. I'm incredibly proud of this new chapter, I believe that my talents are only improving as time goes on. The latest release is titled Playing Around Before the Party Starts, a prelude serving as the connective tissue between chapters 3 and 4, with Chapter 4: The Party itself coming later this year. Chapter 4: The Party is currently in development. I'd love it if you'd join me on this journey. If you like the game and would like to support me and the continued development of the visual novel in a financial way this is the best place to do it! I am very appreciative of anyone who supports, whether it's a one time pledge or continuous support. Money received here will wholly be recycled back into making the game, through asset and/or hardware purchases as necessary. And, naturally, the more money I receive will allow me to make quicker, better updates. In any scenario, I am always grateful to those of you who choose to support. It is, to say the least, very motivating to know that people enjoy the game enough to consider supporting it financially; it already means a lot to me that so many have chosen to just play it.
