Gather evidence, build and compile a case against suspects in a game that will leave you trusting no one! Here to protect and serve you Sonja Vargas; 29-years old, Alexandrian socialite detective. Lilith Troy; 60-year-old, zombie guard. Leon Bryant; a once accused monster, is dead. No one cares about his death, but things don't seem to add up. Who was he? what was his crime? Why do people act strangely when the case is brought up? But Sonja & Lilith could never have foreseen the web of lies they were about to unearth, and just how little they could trust anyone. Gameplay Use Sonja's feminine charm or Lilith's sadistic tactics to pick the brains of the cities seedy, and elite residents. Choose your reputation. Are you an honest cop with a clean record? A dirty cop who bends the rules? Or a loose cannon who plays by their own? Search for the truth throughout 4 boroughs of New Yorks neo-gothic cityscape, each with their own unique cast of characters…and problems. Don’t always expect a warm welcome! Delve into a unique drama of detectives, deceit, and death cults! They are everywhere, and they can be anyone. So, don’t let your guard down! Innocent or guilty? Dangerous, or just simply deceptive? Dead Heat will randomize each playthrough. Use your mind to survive, not your memory! Success or failure, each choice leads down a new path to one of 12 possible conclusions! Environments Dead Heat is a fixed perspective Adventure Game with retro style pre-rendered backgrounds giving you the feeling of playing a classic mid-late nineties PS1 or PC game. Rewards The rewards for this Patreon will not be the same as the upcoming Kickstarter. We will be offering unique digital rewards that will only be available to Patreon donators, such as: Behind the scenes access! Weekly Blog updates on development progress! Your name in the game's credits among other glorious patreons! Why Patreon? The project has been progressing at a steady pace for the last couple of years, but since the move to Unreal, we have found that we require more funding than my own work can provide to fund the creation of the full demo. As you are almost certainly aware, recent events have limited the amount of funding the project has significantly. In order to continue with the development, we will need a source of income to pay for not only the new resources but also to support the creator's livelihood.
