In a rainy day during one of the coldest winters... No I'm just kidding. My introduction to visual novels was this masterpiece (debatable for some) called Fate/Stay Night. I had just finished the anime and was hungry for more Fate. As I was searching the wiki page I found out that the anime was actually based on a visual novel and most people said that the VN was way better. So imagine my excitement, it was like I'd discovered a gold mine but instead of gold it had exceptional art and rich story. After reading Fate I was shocked to my core, I just couldn't read books anymore. I wanted the whole package. Then I thought "there must be more visual novels out there" and oh boy there were thousands of them waiting for me to read them. To name a few, Muv Luv, Katawa Shoujo, Grisaia Series and the list goes on. But, do you know what all these VNs have in common? You probably guessed it right, they all have tons of sexual content (which I love but won't go to great detail why here). So one day I said, I have stories to tell, I wanna write one. At first I was pumped, but then reality hit me in the face and said "You can't draw, you can write mediocre music and lastly you can't code". Unbeknownst to reality, I am a really stubborn person so I decided to write a 3D VN instead. TAKE THAT REALITY. Here I am hundreds of hours later making this happen. If you reach this point in this wall of text I wanna say thanks for reading a little part of my life that is about to become the biggest. Now about the game. Black Diamond After spending the summer away from her parents, Lydia returns to New York changed in both appearance and spirit. Lacking real-life experience due to limited social interactions, she's ready for her first year at a prestigious university, which she has spent all her life studying to enter. Will a mystery from the past and your choices affect her life for the worse, the better, or will there be no change at all? Black Diamond is the first game I develop with hopefully many more to come (yes I have ideas for many more games). It is a non-linear VN with branching storylines. Every branch has already been planned out and nothing is subject of change unless there's a really serious reason behind it.Every choice you make is going to immensely affect the story and the dialog will adapt depending on what you said or done. That means that every sub-branch will matter too. (I know this sounds impossible but leave that to me. You don't have to worry about that). There is nothing more I can say about the game without spoiling parts of the story and such but, I can say the following to help the people who don't wanna waste their time playing and seeing something they didn't want to play/see. No scene you didn't choose will be forced upon you. The structure of the game is made in a way where you can avoid every sex scene and every romance path by being mostly neutral to everyone and just living life. Before I forget, the following are and will be present in the game: Vanilla Romance Lesbian Romance Shemale Romance BDSM (not that much) Corruption Exhibitionism and many more! Following are some of my personal favorite in-game scenes What’s makes my games different from others While I love a good narration, I strongly believe that it shouldn’t be the primary concern of a 3D visual novel to describe every action and every thought the characters might have. Even though that works in a 2D anime style eroge which is limited by the drawing aspect, I’d rather utilize the visual aspect and the freedom of 3D modeling, more than the novel one and use narration where I deem it’s absolut
