Like many other developers, I started this project after being inspired by the power of storytelling the Visual Novel medium offers. I'm an experienced 3D artist by trade, having worked on many AAA titles. Working for a company is fine, but I've always wanted to do something on my own as well. In this day and age, it can be very difficult to make a full working real-time 3D game, so I noticed the VN format as something that allowed me to create a powerful emotional experience, without the difficulty of creating a complicated game that would also be hugely expensive. So, back in December 2021, I started writing the story and creating a pipeline to see if indeed it could be something I could create on my own. 6 months later in July 2022, I released the first episode of Alpha, Omega. I developed a unique pipeline between DAZ Studio (which is what I use to create the characters) and Unreal Engine 5 (which is what I use to build the environments, set up shaders, and do the lighting and renders). Whereas most developers tend to buy environments (which is why many look the same), most environments that are featured in the various episodes of AO, are made from scratch by me. Unless they're only featured once, in that case I use a ready made environment. I spent a great deal of time, carefully crafting each character within DAZ studio, making sure they don't look like base models that are bought directly from the store. It's very important to me for you to have as much of a unique experience as possible. -Overview- Step in the shoes of a young adult, and embark on an over the top journey like no other! Start your life as a freshman at Stillwell Acadamy, where learning how to fight is the main curriculum for those interested in the world of mixed martial arts. Make new friends with an unusual group of individuals, and navigate the complex paths of friendship, desire, lust, love, and moral choices. Choose which of the six available core MMA fighting styles to master, and start honing your chosen disciplines to become a champion. Join the academy's heavy-metal band, become their much needed guitarist or drummer, and unwind after rigorous training excercises. Become intimate with someone and explore their background, story, ambitions, and desires. Be prepared for a plethora of choices, that may lead to various surprising outcomes, with an abundance of dramatic twists and turns, that can alter not only your own fate, but of those around you as well!
