Hi, I’m Robert D. Gallagher. I’m more used to supporting creators on Patreon than being one myself, so this is an exciting new chapter for me. I’m the author of Prototype , the first book in my Lost and Forgotten series, and I’m thrilled to bring it to life in audio format here on Patreon. I’ll be publishing two chapters per month, letting listeners experience the story in a whole new way. A bit about me: I’ve spent 40 years in the IT industry, working in various roles that are a world apart from my life as an author. But science fiction and fantasy have always been close to my heart. I started playing Dungeons & Dragons at age twelve, and I’ve enjoyed role-playing and computer games ever since. Though I’ve always had a vivid imagination, I never thought I’d write a book—let alone almost three! Prototype was completed in 2017, followed by The First Empire in 2021. Now, I’m close to finishing The Third War , the third book in the series. Creating this series has been a slow and steady journey, but I’m hopeful that with your support, I can continue working on it full-time. The Lost and Forgotten is a mythic science fiction epic that spans galaxies, lifetimes, and the soul itself. Set in a universe where Heaven is a bureaucratic machine, God is missing, and faith has become a tool of control, the series follows broken rebels, fallen angels, and resurrected warriors as they uncover the true origins of creation—and the lies that sustain it. From cryo-prisons to sacred gardens, from the drowned ruins of Atlantis to the quantum realm of ascended minds, this is a story of identity, corruption, and the painful rebirth of hope. As light and dark collide, one truth remains: salvation was never meant to be worshipped—it was meant to be earned.
