Who are you and what do you do? Hi there! I'm the sole member (so far) of the visual novel development studio 'Frostworks'. You can call me Frost, if you'd like. My passion lies with monster girls, and creating content that features strong, dominant women in general. I've been writing visual novels for several years now, and have been a part of several commercial teams, where I've worked hard to create stories that have been met with great success. I've decided now is the best time to pursue my own commercial endeavors, and to create content that I'm truly passionate about. What is 'Quest Failed'? 'Quest Failed' is an adult visual novel series, primarily focused on the adventures of a rather unfortunate adventurer, Matthew, who can't quite seem to get a hang of the whole adventuring thing--each of his attempts to complete a quest usually ending up with him being subjected to a monster girl's whims. Hence the title. It's a series I've been planning for quite some time now, and it's all finally beginning to come to fruition after months of blood, sweat, and tears! Both on my end, and on poor Matthew's. I've decided due to the scope of it all, that releasing it semi-regularly in the form of chapters is the best way to ensure that people get to enjoy the visual novel without waiting too long, and to get feedback on future chapters, so that I can ensure the series is the best it can be. Each chapter will also be fairly meaty in terms of content, with the first chapter alone already looking to be a good 70k/80k worth of words (though this is subject to changed based on editing, but not by much) so while there is an overarching story between all of the chapters, each chapter in itself should feel like a complete game. Why do you need my money? To put it simply, while this series has been my dream to make for a while now, it's also proving to be an incredibly expensive endeavor. Detailed H-CGs featuring many parts to them, as well as the extra complications of the monster girls and their more unusual forms compared to ordinary humans, in addition to the backgrounds and voices--it all adds up in the end. I've been self-funding the development so far, and have gotten the first chapter to a state I'm incredibly happy with (and you can judge for yourself with the demo!), but I've had to cut a lot of corners to do so. Slashing down the amount of CGs originally planned, using stock music, shrinking the scope of things within the game, I've done what I can to ensure I can release the first chapter without running out of money halfway through. However, this is the part where you come in! With your help, I'll be able to create each chapter as I originally envisioned--with lots and lots of CG scenes for each girl, to help them bond further with poor Matthew! Every penny I receive from this Patreon will go straight back into development of the series, to ensure it can become the best monster girl series it can be. What's in it for me?
