Welcome to the Weight Gaming Patreon! [WHO AM I?] Well I guess I should start off with some formalities. You can call me Grot or Grotlover2. I am a software engineer from the US, and the current “owner” of Weight Gaming. I love creating and building so you can usually find me working or assisting with games on Weight Gaming. [What is Weight Gaming?] Weight Gaming was founded by Kilif as a space where people could gather and share games with expansion/fat related content. Quickly though the small site turned into a community that worked together to share knowledge, and build games centered around fat and expansion. It is my hope that with the right care, and your help, that we can continue to grow and expand the site! [Why Patreon?] Well it’s no secret that it costs money to run a site, and, while I admire Kilif for not wanting to post ads on the site and asking people for money, it is foolish to depend on a single person’s income for running the site. Not only does this make the site more vulnerable as a change in the owner’s income could result in damage to the site; it also limits the ability to grow the site as the capital available for investing into the site is limited by that individual’s income. In the end the site should be owned and funded by the community and not by one single individual. And that is what brings us to Patreon. Patreon allows us a way to allow the community to chip in, and ensure the site is not dependent on one person for its funds by spreading it out among multiple people. With your help I hope to not only cover the basic operating costs of the site, but also: Invest in expanding the site’s functionality Be able to give a bit back to our awesome staff for their years of hard work Invest back into the community to encourage bigger and more ambitious projects And finally, turn Weight Gaming into an entity that can stand on its own without relying on a single person With your help the future of Weight Gaming is bright!
